My name is Simon Johnson, I have been actively researching UFO phenomenon for 6 years now. All my research over the years has been for my personal use. Maybe I'll write a book.

Recently the UFO Community in Australia has been "kick started" by the high volume of sightings from March 1996 - July 1996. Many people like myself have come out of the woodwork and have "gone public".

I'd like to talk about UFO Organisations in Australia. Here, we have a few researchers, very good ones. However you could count them on your fingers. We also have MANY organisations which meet once every few months and discuss different aspects.

One such organisation I've delt with in Melbourne runs an Encounters and Support Line. The are only months old in this occupation however they have taken a large amount of calls over the past few months. Obviously they would have accumulated a large collection of valuable research information. When I asked to see this information I was laughed at and said that there was no chance.

Q. Why ?
A. I don't know.

Q. Where does this information go?
A. "To other organisations".

Q. For example ?
A. "Other UFO organisations".

A. We work closely with other UFO researchers.

Q. So why cant I have a copy ? I'm a researcher ?
A. Because you are not an organisation.

Q. Why can't I produce this information for the world to see on the Internet ?
A. You're not an organisation.
A. We just can't give this information out.

Q. So if I was a member of another organisation I'd see it ?
A. Probably not.

WHERE DOES IT GO ?

WHAT IS THE ISSUE HERE ?

This issue is EGO.

I CANT STRESS ENOUGH. There must be more sharing of information amongst UFO Organisations.

Why cant people band together for a common cause here ?

Perhaps the Internet is a medium for doing just this.

Thats life...
